Two men charged with robbing petrol station

KUALA LUMPUR: Two contract window cleaners pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here today to a charge with robbing a petrol station when armed with a machete last Tuesday.
Muhammad Nabil Fiqri Mohd Azman, 20, and Muhammad Syafiq Amran Basir, 19, made the plea before judge Dr Gan Chee Keong.
They were charged with committing gang-robbery when armed with a machete on a cashier, Nor Izza Farisha Mohd Pauzi, 21, and robbed her of two cash safes belonging to the Petronas fuel station at Lebuhraya Besraya Mines, North Rest Area, Cheras, here at noon last April 10.
The charge, made under Section 395/ 397 of the Penal Code, provides an imprisonment for up to 20 years, and is also liable to whipping if found guilty.
The court allowed Muhammad Syafiq bail of RM20,000 in one surety and to report himself twice a month at the nearest police station and also to not intimidate the victim.
However, Muhammad Nabil Fiqri was not allowed bail and he had no bailor.
