It's the reality, nation will suffer under opposition: Salleh Keruak

PETALING JAYA: The nation will suffer if voters give their mandate to opposition pact Pakatan Harapan to rule Malaysia after the 14th General Election, caretaker Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak warned.
He said the opposition coalition had no regard for the country as their cooperation in facing GE14 was merely a marriage of convenience to satisfy their personal agenda.
"This is not about the interest of the nation but about the pursuit of political power," he said.

"The opposition pact will not last and if they come to power the nation will suffer. This is the reality of the opposition pact," he said in a blog posting.
He added PH leaders were made up of strange bedfellows as at one point some of them had tried to bring down others who were at the time serving in the government.
Giving an example, Salleh said jailed PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang had at one point opposed the former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad with the excuse of saving Malaysia.
"Now they unite with Mahathir on that same excuse of saving Malaysia," he added.
"We must not forget that in 1993 Kit Siang (Lim) condemned Anwar and demanded his resignation and even accused him of lying to Parliament. Then he works with Anwar.
"Then Kit Siang said if the opposition comes to power they will make Mahathir pay for his crimes. And now he works with Mahathir," Salleh said.
"This is clear evidence that the opposition pact is merely a marriage of convenience with each party having their own agenda," he said.
