Man, allegedly on drugs, drives into police station

MANJUNG: A 28-year-old man drove his car into the Kampung Koh police station, crashing the vehicle against the front portion of the building.
In the 1.45am incident, police personnel fired two shots in self-defence after the glass door of the station shattered from the impact of the crash.
Manjung district police chief ACP Muhammad Hanif Othman said at the time of the incident only two personnel were on duty.
"The suspect who sustained head and facial injuries was detained, he is believed to have acted under the influence of drugs," he added.
Investigations revealed the suspect had three previous criminal records for intrusion, drugs and mischief.
The suspect was sent to the Seri Manjung Hospital for treatment.
The case is being investigated under Section 427 and 186 of the Penal Code for causing mischief and obstructing a public servant from discharging their duties.
