Malaysian student's remains to arrive from Bali today

JAKARTA: The remains of a Malaysian student who died in a road accident in Bali on Friday, will be repatriated tomorrow evening.
A Malaysian Embassy spokesman in Indonesia said the victim's family members who arrived in Bali at 7.30pm yesterday met embassy staff to make arrangements to bring the body back via a flight to Kuala Lumpur at 4.20pm today.
"The victim's friend, S.Shivalamar, 24, who was seriously injured, is still being treated at a hospital in Bali. Shivalamar is reported to be still in coma," the spokesman said.
In the 6.45pm incident yesterday, V. Tharshine, 24, a student at Udayana University, Bali, died on the spot while two other friends who were in Bali for a holiday were injured, when the motorcycles they were riding on rammed into a stalled lorry on a road shoulder at Karangasem, Bali.
Shivalamar, who was Tharshine's pillion rider, sustained severe head and body injuries while another friend, Rehan Chandra Sekaran, 25, who was on another motorcycle, escaped with minor injuries. — Bernama
