IN its bid to further expand the market share of its commercial vehicle line-up, Isuzu Malaysia recently conducted a special gathering session for Isuzu lorry bodybuilders at the Ombak Villa in Pulau Langkawi.
Twenty-one bodybuilders from all over the nation attended the gathering session, which gave them an exclusive opportunity to grasp latest Isuzu commercial vehicle updates and in-depth product training. Also in attendance were Isuzu Malaysia’s CEO, Koji Nakamura, and chief operating officer of commercial vehicle division, Mikio Tsukui, in addition to representatives from the Isuzu Malaysia head office.
The event, which was last held in 2014, allows Isuzu Malaysia to reconnect with their business partners to gain continuous support in market expansion, aside from promoting the ‘Isuzu Way’ of practising great efficiency in operational aspects, ensuring excellence in customer satisfaction.
The bodybuilders are specialised in supplying local businesses with the most suitable commercial vehicle fittings and configurations to meet various business needs and functionalities, while adhering to legal and safety requirements.
During the event, the bodybuilders received first-hand knowledge on new products and existing model line-ups, aside from detailed presentations and information sharing on the Elf, Forward and Giga-model lorries. The event also provided Isuzu Malaysia the opportunity to effectively collect information on Isuzu chassis modification.
During the session, Nakamura shared his exuberance for the gathering as it allows Isuzu Malaysia to maintain its longstanding relationship with bodybuilders and business partners, while offering an avenue for collaborative sharing of information and knowledge on commercial vehicle specialisation. This is in line with the company’s quest to offer businesses a full range of commercial vehicle products to suit a variety of trade and industry needs.
"As the best-selling lorry brand in Malaysia, Isuzu‘s success is largely credited to its reputation as a high-quality, reliable and efficient lorry manufacturer. In order to maintain our position of being the No. 1 preferred brand for commercial vehicle, we need to fully understand the needs of our customers, while maintaining a strong and trustworthy relationship with our business partners to deliver customised commercial vehicles that will serve its intended purposes," said Nakamura.
