PETALING JAYA: Several Malaysians and Singaporeans were arrested after Thai police busted an illegal sex party at a hotel in a notorious red light district in South Pattaya.
They were 11 men from around the world frolicking with 14 young Thai women attending a swingers' party. The others were Americans, Canadians, Germans, Chinese, Thais, Cambodians, Indians and Ukrainians.
Officers raided the Tulip Hotel at around 11.30pm on Saturday and found people having group sex and rooms scattered with condoms, lubricant, sexual enhancement drugs, and toy.
The items were collected as evidence and the participants were detained for questioning.
The attendees paid 1,500 baht (RM190) per person to take part in the "swingers' party", police told the Bangkok Post.
Hotel owner Sheng Liao Yang, from China, was arrested on suspicion of running a hotel without a license and hosting obscene events.
Naris Niwapantawong, district police chief for Banglamung, told the Post that the men "exchanged partners with each other'' during the sex party.
"We received a complaint about the Tulip Hotel. We were told they organised sex parties on the weekends," he was quoted as saying.
"My staff co-ordinated with police, immigration, and the military to strike quickly and accurately. We carried out the operation while they were having sex and we shut them down."
