Options galore with Nokia 1 and Nokia 7 plus

THE NOKIA 1 and Nokia 7 plus have arrived in Malaysia.
The Nokia 7 plus comes with the promise of a flagship design and fast performance, at a mid-range price tag.

It certainly feels and looks unique and expensive. This is mainly due to its build, which is carved from a single block of 6000 series aluminium, and coated with a ceramic finish.
Its performance can be credited to the fact that it is a member of Google’s Android One family.
Because it runs on an unadulterated version of Android, the Nokia 7 plus’ performance is unhindered despite running on a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with 4GB of memory, and 64GB of storage.
Other notable features on the Nokia 7 plus include its now standard 2:1 ratio 6in Full HD+ display, and its new and improved cameras with ZEISS optics.
The front-facing camera has a 16MP sensor, while the rear dual camera system is made up of a 12MP sensor with an F1.75 lens, and a 13MP sensor with an F2.6 lens.
Available in two colours – black/copper and white/copper – the Nokia 7 plus comes with the recommended retail price of RM1,699.
Each purchase also comes with a gift box worth RM300, while stocks last.
Meanwhile, the Nokia 1 is designed not only to be the ‘phone for everyone’, but also as a bridge for feature phone users to move into smartphones.
Running on the latest Android Oreo (Go Edition) and built with Nokia’s signature design language, the Nokia 1 combines the familiar and nostalgic feel of Nokia phones from yesteryear with the modern features of the expansive Android ecosystem, but without all the frills and complexity.
The Nokia 1 is available in two prime colours, warm red and dark blue, is priced at RM339, and comes with a random Xpress-on cover while stocks last.
Additional covers are sold separately from RM39.90 (for a set of two). Currently, the covers are available in azure, grey, yellow, and pink with more coming in the future.
