PKR Youth says Umno the agent provocateur in logo protest

GEORGE TOWN: PKR Youth today claimed certain quarters from Umno are using former PKR members to sabotage Pakatan Harapan's (PH) preparations for the 14th General Election (GE14).
Describing these Umno elements as agent provocateurs, PKR deputy youth chief Dr Afif Bahardin said a planned logo protest has nothing to do with the party's youth wing.
He said PKR Youth welcomes the decision by the leadership that all PH component parties should only use one logo which is the PKR logo for GE14.
"The claim that there are some of the party grassroots who objected the decision, is no more than a political ploy engineered and sponsored by Umno-BN through certain individuals who are close to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's proxy," Afif said in his statement to the media today.
He said the reality is PKR members are committed to work together with all component parties of PH to win the GE14 which is scheduled on May 9.
Afif, who is also the caretaker health exco with Penang state government, also urged all Malaysians especially the youth to vote for the PKR logo and hand a victory to PH.
A protest which is purportedly being organised by the party's youth wing members is scheduled to take place at 3pm today at the state PKR headquarters in Seberang Jaya.
