Three family members killed after car collides with 4WD

    PARIT: Three in a family died after the car they were travelling in collided with a four-wheel drive vehicle at KM30, Jalan Bota Kanan-Teluk Intan, here yesterday.
    In the incident at about 5.20pm, Rohaida Sidak, 48, and her daughter, Nor Syarina Mohd Jamil, 19, who was a Form 6 student of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sultan Abdul Jalil Shah, Kampung Gajah here, died on the spot and their bodies were sent to the Changkat Melintang Hospital for post mortem.
    Rohaida's husband, Mohd Jamil Utok, 46, who sustained severe injuries died at about 10.15pm while receiving treatment at the Teluk Intan Hospital.
    Perak Tengah district police chief Supt Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said all the victims on a Perodua Myvi car were heading to Kampung Gajah from Teluk Intan when the mishap occurred.
    "Upon arriving at the scene, a Toyota Hilux coming from the opposite direction skidded to the right side of the road before colliding with the car carrying the victims," he said when contacted last night. — Bernama
