SINCE last year, De Palma Hotel Ampang has been undergoing a series of upgrading and redevelopment works for all its hotel rooms from the seventh to the 11th floor, as well as its Grand Ballroom, meeting rooms, and coffee house.
The newly-remodelled coffee house has been renamed The Rumbia.
The Rumbia now sports a new modern contemporary design, with wood flooring, soft lighting, floor-to-ceiling windows, a vast dining area, a new island buffet, and an open kitchen.
It also has an extension to the Rumbia Terrace, an open-air cafe area.
The Rumbia had its soft opening on April 11, officiated by De Palma Management Services chairman Datin Noraida Mohd Yusof.
Also present was group chief executive officer Dr Azaharul Hisham Datuk Seri Sulong Ahmad, who said the hotel carried out the extensive refurbishment exercise as "we believe in providing the best products and services for our customers".
De Palma Hotel Ampang will be holding its Selera Nusantara Ramadan buffet promotion throughout the fasting month at The Rumbia.
The buffet will feature dishes from the Southeast Asian region, and will be priced at RM95 nett for adults and RM55 nett for children.
The De Palma Group of Hotels & Resorts is wholly owned by Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor.
The group includes the De Palma Hotel Shah Alam and De Palma Eco Resort Kuala Selangor, as well as a Palma Café at SACC Mall Shah Alam and Palma Signature at Laman PKNS, Shah Alam.
