Eco World International issues RM180m sukuk

PETALING JAYA: Eco World International Bhd has completed an issuance of sukuk murabahah worth RM180 million with a tenure of five years under its unrated Islamic medium-term notes programme of RM800 million.
In the stock exchange filing, the group said proceeds raised will be utilised for its general corporate purposes, working capital requirements and/or for future financing.
The sukuk programme has a tenure of 20 years from April 27, 2018.
CIMB Investment Bank Bhd and Maybank Investment Bank Bhd are the joint principal advisers, joint lead arrangers and joint lead managers for the sukuk programme.
At today's market close, Eco World International shares slipped two sen or 2.02% to 97 sen with some 376,500 shares done.
