Patriot offers to be polling agent

SUBANG JAYA: The National Patriots Association (Patriot) has volunteered to be a polling agent for the early voting day on May 5.
"We feel that we would be useful to either political party in assisting and monitoring the proper and smooth conduct of the early voting exercise which will be undertaken by the security forces such as the military and the police at various military camps across the country," its president Brigadier-General (Rtd) Datuk Mohamed Arshad Raji said today.
"Additionally, we also urge all security forces personnel to exercise their vote without fear or favour. Their vote is a secret and their consitutional right.
"The voting regulations and the process of issuing voting slips to each and every voter makes it impossible for one's vote to be traced back to them," he added.
