SEREMBAN: Negri Sembilan MCA will work hard to win at least five seats in the state in the 14th General Election (GE14) on May 9, said MCA Youth chief Datuk Chong Sin Woon.
The Seremban parliamentary candidate said it involved one parliamentary seat and four state seats to help Barisan Nasional (BN) win with a big majority in the state.
"We have also been well prepared and working closely with the other BN component parties in the confidence of winning more seats for Negri Sembilan," he told reporters after a dinner with Negri Sembilan MCA here last night.
Also present was Negri Sembilan MCA chief Datuk Seri Lim Chin Fui.
Chong said the supporting trend of the Chinese community towards the MCA was much better than that shown during the GE13.
"It is not like what we see on social media, as if we are already defeated, but if we go to reality, especially in public places, it is not the case.
"What we have to do is to continue campaigning well and not make anything mistakes, I am confident we can boost the Chinese support for MCA," he added. — Bernama
