Police identify types of weapon, bullet shells used in Palestinian lecturer's killling

BAGAN DATUK: The Royal Malaysia Police have identified the types of weapon and several bullet shells used by two suspects in the killing of a Palestinian lecturer and imam in the federal capital last month.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the police also identified the individuals behind the rental of the Kawasaki Versys motorcycle used by the suspects and the homestay rented by them.
"Only we have yet to receive detailed reports on the matter, but have obtained some fresh evidence, including the types of weapon and bullet shells used by the suspects.
"I hope the Crime Investigation Department will proceed with the investigation and able to track down the two main suspects," he said.
Ahmad Zahid was speaking to reporters after the village feast held as part of the meet-the -people programme organised by the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia for the Bagan Datuk parliamentary constituency at Kampung Pasang Api here today.
On April 21, Fadi, 35, was shot dead outside the Idaman Puteri condominium in Setapak while walking towards the Medan Idaman Surau for Subuh prayer at 6am.
The victim, a senior lecturer in electrical engineering in Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) was buried in Gaza, Palestine on April 28. — Bernama
