"Police were alerted about the incident immediately and screened through the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and confirmed the six men's involvement in the incident," the source added.
Police then checked the registration plates of the cars and found the owners were staying at the FRU complex in Batu 9 here.
Forensics personnel also lifted four fingerprints from the scenes.
Police subsequently picked up four FRU and two General Operations Force (PGA) personnel.
They have been detained and kept at the Shah Alam Central Lock-up.
