GUANGDONG police are looking for a man who was filmed casually walking on a beach in the tourist hotspot of Hailing Island with a live dolphin slung across his shoulder.
Btime.com recently reported an unnamed official in the local fisheries bureau as saying the dolphin had become stranded on the beach when the man picked it up and took it to his car.
The official explained that dolphins are protected animals in China and that whether the animal was dead or alive, the man should not have removed it.
The man was said to be a tourist who had left the island.
