Video clip of EC officer with ballot paper is from 2013

KUALA LUMPUR: A clip which allegedly showing an Election Commission (EC) officer leaving with a ballot paper did not occur last Saturday.
EC chairman Tan Sri Mohd Hashim Abdullah said in a statement today the incident occurred during the 13th General Election.
"Based on the Election Commission's investigation, the incident occurred during the GE13 in 2013. The video clip has also appeared and spread through YouTube and a few Facebook pages between May 4 until 7 in 2013. Now, it has reappeared and worried the rakyat," he said.
He hoped the public will not be easily misled by information which is being made viral through social media platforms or share them without verifying it first.
