Ruckus at Johor Jaya polling station

    JOHOR BARU: Police have arrested six suspects involved in a ruckus at the compound of the SMK Johor Jaya polling station at about 12.30pm today.
    According to Johor Jaya state seat candidate Tan Cher Puk, a member of the public queueing to vote had questioned the nationality of two men who were also waiting in line.
    A ruckus ensured when the former demanded the two men to present their Mykad for inspection.
    Several police cars rushed to the scene immediately and the two men managed to enter the polling station and cast their votes with the help of Tan.
    The two brothers, Ambigapathi a/l A. Arumugam, 38, from Johor Jaya and his younger brother, Ragupathy Raja Ram a/l A. Arumugam, 37, from Ulu Tiram said they were Malaysians and have their Mykad with them.
    They said people also questioned their nationality in the last general election due to their appearance.
