Accept the results, says AG (Exclusive)

PETALING JAYA: The Attorney-General’s Chambers has stepped up and said Malaysians have made their choice and that the election results must be accepted.
In a message to theSun, Attorney-General Tan Sri Apandi Ali said Malaysia is a democracy and the people have made their choice.
“The people have made up their choice. We are in a democracy. Everybody has to accept the election results. The law will follow and be applied accordingly. As I always say, as the AG I will strive to uphold the Rule of Law," he said via Whatsapp.
He said the AGC is enshrined under Article 145 of the Federal Constitution and will remain apolitical, irrespective of the political scene as it is bound by law.
"The AGC's position is as enshrined under Article 145 of the Federal Constitution remains the same irrespective of the political scenario. We are apolitical," he told theSun through Whatsapp.
He added that it is the AGC's constitutional duty to be so, thus the law will be upheld.
"It is our Constitutional duty to be so. We have to uphold the Rule of Law," he added.
