Student body congratulates Dr M

KUALA LUMPUR: The Muslim Students Association of Malaysia (PKPIM) congratulated Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on his appointment as the Prime Minister.
"Congratulations to Tun Dr Mahathir on being appointed as the seventh Prime Minister and may this appointment bring more benefits to the people of Malaysia," said PKPIM president Muhammad Khair Sujud in a statement today.
He said PKPIM also called on all parties to set aside partisan politics post 14th general election (GE14) and focus on the development agenda of the country.
Muhammad Khair reiterated that PKPIM would continue to be a non-partisan movement which would stand up for the people to ensure all the promises made by political parties during GE14 were fulfilled.
Dr Mahathir who led Pakatan Harapan took the oath of office as the seventh Prime Minister of Malaysia yesterday after his coalition defeated Barisan Nasional (BN) in GE14 on Wednesday. — Bernama
