ALOR STAR: The honorary secretary of Kedah Football Association (KFA), Datuk Aminuddin Omar will be relinquishing his post soon.
He said he would be handing over his resignation letter to KFA management to enable a new selection be made.
"I will hand over the resignation letter in a day or two to make way for KFA to decide on a new man in the football governing body," he said when contacted by Bernama here today.
He said the post was not a political post but he respected the decision of the people in the 14th general election which wanted to see changes in KFA.
Meanwhile Aminuddin also denied that he would be apparently jumping ship to join the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government after BN suffered a major defeat in the 14th general election.
He lost in the contest for the Jitra state seat.
In this regard, he did not rule out the possibility of KFA president Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah resigning as the post was usually filled by the mentri besar. — Bernama
