No conflict between PH parties over appointments: Anwar

PETALING JAYA: There is no conflict between Pakatan Harapan parties over the appointment of Cabinet minsters, said PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He said he appreciated the visit made by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Saturday evening and that they held an in-depth discussion over Cabinet appointments.
"I reiterated Keadilan's support for Mahathir and at the same time informed him of the anxiety in the Keadilan leadership over the Cabinet appointments.
"I urged him to have a more holistic and in-depth discussions over the appointments," Anwar said in a statement today.
He said Mahathir welcomed his views on various issues and that the final decision on the appointments lies with the Pakatan Harapan presidential council.
"I have also expressed my views about the decisions made by Mahathir to the Keadilan leadership and urged them to provide strong support to the government led by Mahathir and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail," he said.
Anwar urged all the leaders, members and supporters of Pakatan Harapan to respect the mandate given by the voters to the government to ensure they will be able to rebuild and make the nation stronger.
