Swearing in ceremony for Pahang MB tomorrow

KUANTAN: The swearing-in ceremony for the Pahang Menteri Besar is scheduled to be held tomorrow afternoon at the Istana Abu Bakar, Pekan.
Istana Pahang Media Officer announced via the WhatsApp application that the ceremony would be held at the palace at 3 pm.
The swearing-in ceremony will be held together with the oath-taking ceremony for members of the Pahang State Executive Council (Exco).
However, it is not stated who among the State Assemblymen will be appointed as the Menteri Besar and members of the Exco.
The swearing-in ceremony for the post of the Pahang Menteri Besar previously was scheduled to be held last Saturday, but it was temporarily postponed after the Pahang Regent, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah informed that he needed time to know all the new Assemblymen who won in the 14th General Election recently.
It is believed that Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob, 68, would continue to assume his post as Menteri Besar for the fifth term based on his leadership and ability to ensure that the Barisan Nasional (BN) won 25 of the 42 State Legislative Assembly seats in the state in the last election. — Bernama
