KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Harapan (PH) de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he has forgiven former premier Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak for what the latter had done to him in the past.
While maintaining that Najib was the one behind his incarceration, Anwar said he held no malice against the former, and that he has chosen to move on from the past.
However, he said Najib still has to answer to the court on the alleged wrongdoings he had committed while he was the prime minister.
"The issue of injustice towards the people, the crime he committed and the alleged corruption, that he has to answer," he told a packed press conference at his private residence, here, yesterday.
"But when it comes to my personal welfare, I have forgiven him. I want to move on. There's no malice towards Najib and anyone else. I don't want the issue of me being incarcerated be made into an issue against him (Najib).
