Seven DAP and 3 PKR lawmakers sworn in as Penang excos

GEORGE TOWN: Seven DAP and three PKR lawmakers have been sworn in as state executive councillors before Penang Governor Tun Dr Abdul Rahman Abbas at Dewan Sri Pinang.
Pinang Tunggal assemblyman Datuk Ir. Zaki Yuddin Abdul Rahman has been appointed as the new Deputy Chief Minister 1, while Prof Dr P. Ramasamy retained his Deputy Chief Minister 2 post and his state exco position.
PKR's Dr Afif Bahardin, and Jagdeep Singh Deo and Phee Boon Poh from DAP have been retained in their respective portfolios.
DAP's Wanita Chief Chong Eng also retained her exco position and will helm an additional new portfolio – Gender Inclusiveness.
Among the newcomers in the state exco line-up are PKR's Datuk Abdul Halim Hussain, DAP's Zairil Khir Johari, Yeoh Soon Hin and Soon Lip Chee
