PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan has been registered as an official coalition by the Registrar of Societies, Home Minister designate Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced.
He added the coalition was formalised on Wednesday through actions from his ministry.
He also added that Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM), a PH component that had once almost being deregistered early this year, has managed to revert its status as an eligible organisation.
"Despite problem we faced before by the same RoS ... has agreed for PH to be registered as a coalition of four parties," he said.
"Now we can make our efforts for to put forward our reform agenda that has been agreed upon," he said in his speech at a gathering to celebrate the release of PH de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at Padang Timur.
Earlier, an image of PH registration certificate has been making rounds on social media.
The registration came just a week after the coalition's victory in the recent 14th General Election, which saw the end of six decades of Barisan Nasional's rule.
Prior to the 14th General Election, PH had been wanting to register itself as a former political coalition but the attempt was halted due to issue surrounding one of its component party.
The coalition consists of PKR, DAP, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia and Parti Amanah Negara.
