Terengganu MB: Signature of JKKK unnecessary for applications

KUALA TERENGGANU: No signature of the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) head is required for any application by the people, said newly-minted Terengganu Mentri Besar, Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.
He said the decision was made to reduce bureaucratic red tape to facilitate the people's affairs with government departments and agencies in the state.
"For example, prior to this, an application for a trading lot at the Ramadan bazaar required the applicant to get a signature from the JKKK head, but it is no longer necessary after this.
"The people can submit their application directly to the relevant government departments and agencies or district councils without having to undergo inconvenient procedures (JKKK signatures) as before," he told reporters after chairing the first state executive council meeting at Wisma Darul Iman today.
In addition, Ahmad Samsuri also announced that the distribution of funds for Aidilfitri this year would be continued as normal and the application period for new applicants would be extended.
"As such, for those who feel they are eligible for the fund, they can send their applications (via online)," he said. — Bernama
