A VIDEO of a woman pulling her pants down in an attempt to force her boyfriend to apologise has gone viral.
The incident in China took place in a crowded train with passengers looking bewildered.
The woman resorted to an act considered a rare form of forced repentance following an argument with her boyfriend.
Passengers on board said it is unclear what the couple were arguing about, but it became apparent that the woman wanted to publicly embarrass her lover.
Reports say commuters were heard defending the man saying: "Why should he have to kneel?"
Ignoring their protests, however, she continued asking, "Are you going to kneel or not?"
Footage taken by a commuter shows the woman dressed in black repeating the phrase: "Are you going to kneel or not?" while walking around the carriage.
"Kneel and everything will be fine," she adds.
Stunned by her antics, the boyfriend remained seated, ignoring her existence.
In retaliation for the silent treatment she received, she kept her end of the bargain and pulled her jeans all the way down to embarrass him.
The lover then relented and caved into her demands and got on his knees for a split second, persuading the woman to sit back down.
Neither the police nor the Shanghai Metro Station has commented.
