IHH Healthcare's share price rise 3 sen

    PETALING JAYA: IHH Healthcare Bhd’s share price rose 3 sen this morning after it confirmed its interest in participating in a new bid process for India’s Fortis Healthcare Ltd.
    At midday, its share price was 0.49% or 3 sen higher at RM6.15 with 1.41 million shares done. Yesterday, the stock closed 1 sen higher at RM6.12 with 7.57 million shares done.
    Yesterday, its managing director and CEO Dr Tan See Leng said it would like to participate in a new bid process, should it be called, and requested to be kept informed of any developments.
    Last week, Fortis announced that it had accepted an investment offer from Hero Enterprise Investment Office and Burman Family Office that proposed to invest 18 billion rupees in the hospital chain.
    However, Manipal Hospitals made a third revision to its offer for Fortis, with 2,100 crore rupees to be infused at 180 rupees (RM10.55) a share through a preferential allotment.
    The revised offer increases the value of Fortis to 9,403 crore rupees compared with 8,358 crore rupees (160 rupees a share) in the previous offer.
