MBSA offers 50% discount on compounds during Ramadan

SHAH ALAM: The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) is offering 50% discount on compounds issued by the local authority until June 14.
Its Corporate and Public Relations Division head Shahrin Ahmad in a statement today said the offer which started yesterday was part of MBSA's initiatives to encourage people to settle their compounds arrears and avoid stern action.
He said the compounds reduction of up to 50% were applicable for offences under the Hairdressers Bylaw 1983, Small Park ByLaw (MBSA) 2005, Vandalism Bylaw (MBSA) 2005, Food Establishment Bylaw (MBSA) 2007, Food Handler Bylaw (MBSA) 2007, Advertisement Bylaw (MBSA) 2007, Hawker Bylaw (MBSA) 2007, and Small Markets Bylaw (MBSA) 2007.
Besides that, he said MBSA was also offering a RM30 reduction for compounds issued under the MBSA Road Transport Order 2007.
Shahrin said those who paid their compound at Bank Muamalat counters or via JomPAY internet banking also stand a chance to win RM1,000 via lucky draw. — Bernama
