PETALING JAYA: Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has called on the authorities to stop spreading leaks involving the raids on properties linked to her husband, former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak.
A news portal which had obtained a statement from the former first lady's law firm, Valen, Oh & Partners, reported that Rosmah and her family will continue to cooperate with the authorities in their investigations.
Her lawyers said the leaks have caused a "media hailstorm" which appeared to be a "targeted vilification of our family to provoke public anger".
"It is our hope that the authorities would observe the rule of law and due process, to avoid a premature public trial.
"Enforcement agencies should not be feeding social media trolls, but observe and uphold strict professionalism at all times," said Rosmah.
In the early hours of Friday morning, police seized 72 bags containing jewellery, various currencies and valuables at a luxury condominium in Jalan Raja Chulan here, believed to be linked to the former prime minister, as part of investigations into the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) case.
Bukit Aman CCID director, Datuk Seri Amar Singh Ishar Singh, said 284 boxes of luxury handbags were also confiscated from three more residential condominium units in the same area.
Najib and Rosmah have been blacklisted by the Immigration Department from leaving the country.
