FROM China-based company TP-Link, makers of home and commercial computer networking solutions, comes a range of Android-powered smartphones under the brand Neffos.
The three new models recently unveiled by TP-Link were the Neffos N1, and the Neffos C7 and C5A.
The hero has to be the Neffos N1 (right), a dual-camera smartphone with two 12MP sensors in a package that costs only RM1,099.
The fact that it has two high megapixel Sony IMX386 sensors on a mid-range phone was a pleasant surprise.
According to Neffos, one sensor is used to capture full colour, while the other is used for monochrome images.
On the opposite side is an 8MP camera.
Neffos N1 runs on a MediaTek Helio P25 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of expandable storage.
It is powered by a 3,260mAh battery and is encased in a smooth satin-like metal housing.
The face of the N1 is a full high-definition 5.5in display in the classic 16:9 aspect ratio.
Meanwhile, the C7 is aimed at budding social media enthusiasts.
The RM599 Neffos C7 main feature is its 8MP front-facing camera, a 10-level Real-Time Beautify mode, and image enhancements by ArcSoft. On the back is a 13MP camera.
However, the display is a 5.5in 720p display, and the processor is a Mediatek octa-core chip with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.
The RM299 entry-level Neffos C5A features an FWVGA (854×480) 5in LCD, a 5MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera, and a 2,300mAh battery.
