KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak's counsel Datuk Harpal Singh Grewal has withdrawn from representing Najib's legal team.
This was confirmed by Harpal to theSun but he declined to elaborate further.
"We had a meeting earlier and everything was resolved diplomatically," he told theSun when contacted.
It is learnt that former solicitor-general Datuk Mohd Yusof Zainal Abidin has taken over to represent Najib.
Earlier at Najib's residence at Langgak Duta here, lawyers were seen leaving the premises around 8pm after a brief meeting, but they did not answer questions from the media.
Najib is scheduled to give his statement to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in Putrajaya at 10am today.
