BNM international reserves down slightly to US$109.4b as at May 15

PETALING JAYA: Bank Negara Malaysia's international reserves amounted to US$109.4 billion (RM434.31 billion) as at May 15, marginally down by 0.1% compared with the US$109.5 billion recorded as at April 30.
The central bank said the reserves position is sufficient to finance 7.6 months of retained imports and is 1.1 times the short-term external debt.
