Robert Kuok joins Council of Eminent Persons meeting

KUALA LUMPUR: Tycoon Tan Sri Robert Kuok has joined the Council of Eminent Persons meeting at Ilham Tower here today. The council's members are set to meet the heads of Khazanah and the Employees Provident Fund.
Hong Kong-based Kuok is one of five individuals appointed by Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad to advise the government on economic and financial matters.
The others are former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin, former Bank Negara Malaysia governor Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz, former Petronas CEO Tan Sri Hassan Merican and prominent economist Dr Jomo Kwame Sundaram.
