Big Hero 6 the series premieres in Disney Channel

BAYMAX, the lovable personal healthcare provider from hit Academy Award-winning feature film, Big Hero 6 is back and this time he will star in his own TV series.
Disney Channel's Big Hero 6 The Series will premiere on May 25 at 1.30pm on Disney Channel (Astro Channel 615).
The series picks up where the movie left off in the fictional city of San Fransokyo, and follows the adventures of Hiro, Baymax and the Big Hero 6 team.
Big Hero 6 is the 54th animated feature from Walt Disney Animation Studios and was inspired by the Marvel comic created by Man of Action.
Set in the fictional futuristic city of San Fransokyo, the story revolves around a young prodigy called Hiro who develops a special bond with an inflatable robot called Baymax that was created by Hiro's late brother.
Baymax role is as a healthcare provider who tries to look out for the revenge seeking Hiro. Big Hero 6 was released in October 2014 and became the biggest animated film of the year with over US$657 million worldwide. It won the Best Animated Picture Oscar the following year.
Big Hero 6 The Series continues to explore the friendship of 14-year-old tech genius Hiro and Baymax.
Joining them on their high-tech adventures is the sensible control freak and physicist Wasabi; the optimistic and artistic genius Honey Lemon; the no-nonsense mechanical engineer; and creative, science enthusiast Fred, who together form the legendary superhero team, Big Hero 6.
As the new prodigy at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, Hiro must juggle between his newfound responsibilities as a superhero while facing daunting academic challenges and the social trials of being the new kid on campus.
Off campus, the stakes are raised for the high-tech heroes as they must protect their city from a variety of scientifically enhanced villains.
Featuring 2D animation that draws inspiration from various Japanese art styles, each 22-minute episode illuminates the unbreakable family bond among the Big Hero 6 team, a group of diverse individuals with distinct personalities.
Reprising their roles from the feature film are Ryan Potter as Hiro, Scott Adsit as Baymax, Jamie Chung as Go Go, Genesis Rodriguez as Honey Lemon, Maya Rudolph as Aunt Cass, and Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee as Fred's dad.
Also joining the main voice cast are Khary Payton as Wasabi and Brooks Wheelan as Fred.
The team behind the Emmy Award-winning global hit Disney Channel series Kim Possible, Mark McCorkle, Bob Schooley and Nick Filippi, serve as executive producers.
