KMJ appreciates govt hospital staff through 'sahur' program

JOHOR BARU: The "Singgah Sahur" program to several public and private sector agencies in the city organised by the Johor Media Club (KMJ) for the fifth year consecutively had strengthened relations between the media and personnel of the agencies concerned.
State Exco for Health, Environment and Agriculture Dr Sahruddin Jamal said the state government would always give its support for charity programs organised by the KMJ especially those that gave positive impact to the community.
"We take pride that the KMJ had succeeded in holding such programs and responded positively to the community.
"We will support and welcome all programs organised by the KMJ which gave positive inputs to the social programs," he said when approached by reporters at the "Singgah Sahur Program" at the Hospital Pakar KPJ Johor, early this morning.
The pre-dawn meal program was participated by 13 cars together with 50 members of KMJ and the convoy visited four locations to distribute 200 packs for the pre-dawn meal or "sahur" beginning at 12.30 am until 4 am today.
The four locations visited were Hospital Pakar KPJ Johor, Iskandar Puteri District Police Headquarters (IPD), District Operations Control Centre, Malaysian Civil Defence Department (JPAM), Johor and the Johor Baru Fire and Rescue Station.
At the first location at the Hospital Pakar KPJ Johor, members of the convoy were greeted by Sahruddin and 20 nurses who were on duty.
Besides the representative from Bernama, other media representatives in the convoy were from Sinar Harian, RTM, Best FM, Astro Awani, TV Alhijrah, Berita Harian and Utusan Malaysia.
KMJ president, Mohamad Fauzi Ishak who led the convoy said the program would be continued to appreciate the deeds of the public servants who had to discharge their duty throughout the month of Ramadan.
He said Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Osman Sapian also gave his full support for the program. — Bernama
