MACC raids 3 houses linked to Abdul Azeez

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) reportedly raided three properties linked to Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abd Rahim (pix) yesterday.
It is learnt that the raid were conducted at his homes in Subang Jaya in Petaling Jaya and Baling, Kedah, as well as his office in Jalan Tun Razak in Kuala Lumpur.
Perlis MACC chief Mohd Shukor Mahmud confirmed the raid in Baling. He said the raid was conducted by Putrajaya MACC, with Perlis MACC providing assistance.
Shukor was unable to confirm whether Azeez was detained or otherwise.
It was reported that the probe on the Tabung Haji chairman was to facilitate an alleged bribery and abuse of power investigation.
It is learnt that the raids were conducted simultaneously at 12.30pm yesterday. MACC also reportedly seized cash at one of the locations.
