Jamal Yunos charged with being public nuisance

PETALING JAYA: Umno's Jamal Yunos has been slapped with a public nuisance charge over his alleged protest against the proposed Better Beer Festival 2017, Sinar Harian reported today.
The Sungai Besar Umno division chief was said to have smashed bottles of beer in front of the Selangor state secretariat in Shah Alam last October.
The 48-year-old Red Shirt leader was charged at the Ampang Puteri Hopsital where he is receiving treatment for back pain. He claimed trail to the charge which carries a RM400 fine.
Bail has been set at RM3,000 and the case for set for mention at the Shah Alam magistrate's court on June 8.
