Four flood relief centres opened in Taiping

IPOH: Four flood relief centres have been opened in the Taiping district to accommodate 395 flood victims from 112 families as of this morning.
According to a statement by the Perak State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat, the victims were placed at the Kampung Bemban Nurul Hidayah Mosque (110 people from 32 families), SK Temelok Trong in Kampung Temelok (200 people from 58 families), Kampung Jawa Surau (28 people from eight families) and SK Batu Hampar (57 people from 14 families).
Victims were directed to evacuate their homes in stages last night, following heavy rain since yesterday afternoon. — Bernama
