PUTRAJAYA: Pertubuhan Gerak Generasi Kedua Felda Bukit Cherakah (GGF2) today lodged a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) seeking an investigation into the distribution of several residential lots in Selangor which it alleged had elements of abuse and irregularities.
GGF2 chairman Faizal Rahman alleged that a political party branch, a cooperative and a district officer and his assistant had conspired in the sale and distribution of the land.
He said that in 2015, some 281 original residents were asked to fill out applications for land ownership to be handed to a district and land office for the purpose of distribution.
"We became suspicious when we learned that only a few people had obtained the land titles out of the 119 approved nominees while over 80 per cent of the nominees had been replaced.
"More surprisingly, the land originally set aside for housing had a luxury condominium project developed on 32ha, which was contrary to the approval of the state government and district and land office," he said after making the report at the MACC headquarters here.
Faizal, 34, who is a lawyer, said the construction of the condominiums was believed to be a reason why the land could not be distributed to all the original applicants.
He and 20 members of GGF2 came to the MACC office to hand over documents, correspondence, minutes of meetings and computer discs of voice recordings as well as the condominium development plans to support their report.
In a separate case, Pertubuhan Prihatin Bekas Anggota Keselamatan Malaysia (Pahlawan) lodged a report with the MACC today alleging that several Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) senior officers had abused authority by asking military personnel to vote for a certain political party and made use of military premises and assets to campaign in the general election.
Its president, Asri Buang, had also alleged in the report that "a sum of money" had been used as well. — Bernama
