KUALA LUMPUR: Police today recorded a statement from former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak's daughter, Nooryana Najwa, following a report lodged by her over the recent seizure of her personal belongings at a luxury condominium in Jalan Raja Chulan here.
A police source said she made the police report yesterday following her dissatisfaction with the force after items she alleged were wedding gifts, were confiscated.
"The Sentul District Police headquarters received the report. However, policemen from the Dang Wangi District Police headquarters were present to record her statement as the woman's residence is located under that (police) district," the source said.
Dang Wangi Police chief ACP Shaharuddin Abdullah, when contacted, confirmed the matter.
Meanwhile, Bernama reporters spotted a Proton Preve car carrying four police personnel entering Najib's private residence in Jalan Langgak Duta here at 11am today.
On May 18, police seized 72 bags of jewellery, various currencies and valuables at luxury condominiums in Jalan Raja Chulan here, believed to be linked to the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) probe involving the former prime minister.
In addition, 284 boxes containing various luxury branded handbags were also confiscated from three units at the condominiums. — Bernama
