Driver burnt to death in car-bus collision

JOHOR BARU: A man was burnt to death when his Perodua Myvi collided head-on with an express bus at Jalan Endau-Mersing near here last night.
The impact of the collision caused the man, whose identity was not ascertained, to be trapped in the vehicle as its engine and front of the bus were ablaze.
The bus driver and 10 passengers escaped unhurt.
Endau Fire and Rescue station chief Mohd Alias Hussin said the department received a report of the incident at 11.25pm.
He said 17 firemen from Endau and Mersing stations put out the blaze about 3am.
At the time, he said, the bus was on its way from Mersing to Endau while the car was coming from the opposite direction.
