WHETHER it was a rush of blood to the head, or a moment of sheer stupidity we will never know.
However, the act of a man driving a Proton Perdana, appearing out of nowhere and crashing into a Porsche GT3 RS has been met with derision and amusement in equal measure, on social media.
The May 27 incident happened in the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) heading towards Batu Caves when two drivers in two Porsche's were taking their car out for a spin.
Out of nowhere, a Proton Perdana was seen overtaking a few cars before crashing into one of the Porsche's on the left-hand side of the road, in what appeared to be an attempt by the Proton driver, to race with the two elite sports cars.
Inconclusive reports allege that the Proton Perdana is not insured and that the driver does not have a licence.
"That makes my blood boil, it looks intentional. He better pay up or be someone's slave for the rest of his life," said a netizen.
People also alluded to the fact that the Perdana driver may have his pockets burned as he tries to pay up for the damage caused to the Porsche.
"A bank near you will be bracing for the presence of a Perdana owner who will be applying for a loan," said another netizen who was amused.
