Putra Business School offers scholarships for postgraduate studies

KUALA LUMPUR: Putra Business School (PBS) of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) today announced three scholarships for postgraduate programmes for Malaysian and international students who excel in academic and leadership.
The scholarships are the Merit Scholarship, Research Scholarship and Partial Scholarship (for international PhD students).
In a statement, UPM said: "The Merit Scholarship is for applicants who wish to pursue the MBA (Human Potential Management), MBA (Marketing), MBA (Finance), MBA (Corporate Governance) and MBA (General Management) programmes, while the Research Scholarship is for those who want to go for the master's degree in Science and the doctorate programmes.
"The Partial Scholarship is created for international PhD students who have fulfilled the terms and conditions."
The Merit Scholarship covers up to 100% of the tuition fee for full-time study. To be eligible, an applicant must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.5 from a recognised institution and a letter from a referee (dean, lecturer or employer).
For the Research Scholarship, which covers up to 100% of the tuition fee for full-time study for six semesters, the criteria include a master's degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 from a recognised institution, a letter from a referee (dean, lecturer or employer) and having his/her research proposal approved by the PBS' Studies Committee.
Both scholarships require the applicants to attend an interview with the PBS' management. The Partial Scholarship covers up to 30% of the tuition fee for full-time study and the candidates must have passed their proposal defence and have published at least one CIJ article at the time of application.
