PETALING JAYA: Embattled former Attorney-General (AG) Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali has resigned as Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) director effective June 4.
Another member of TH Board of Directors, Datuk Rosni Sohar, has also tendered his resignation on May 23.
Mohamed Apandi had been a director since January 2016, while Rosni was appointed into the board in February 2014.
"TH would like to thank both former directors for their contribution and service," it said in a statement today.
Prior to their resignations, TH had also confirmed on May 24 that its chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim has resigned from the group, with a resignation letter submitted to the fund's legal department on May 14.
His resignation came following the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) raid on three properties linked to the Umno supreme council member.
Mohamed Apandi's service as the AG was terminated by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V on June 4 following the appointment of senior lawyer Tommy Thomas for the post.
