KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) are investigating the death of a local woman, 42, who is believed to have been murdered at an apartment in Sg Chua, Kajang on Tuesday.
Kajang OCPD, Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said in a statement that preliminary investigation classified the case as a sudden death (SDR) following the discovery of a note stating her desire to commit suicide.
The note was found in the wallet of her husband, who was in a coma in the bathroom of the apartment after consuming poison in the room where the deceased was found.
The woman's husband was later taken to the Kajang Hospital and his condition was still critical.
"However at about 10.30am yesterday, a post mortem was carried out on the deceased at the Serdang Hospital which revealed that her death was due to pressure marks on her neck while there were bruise marks on the back of her head, the right cartilage was broken and a minor cut on her left toe," he said in the statement.
Ahmad Dzaffir said the case had been reclassified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder and preliminary investigation on the husband revealed that he was suffering from psychological problems and was still receiving psychiatric treatment at the Kajang Hospital. — Bernama
