Missing baby found, one Nepalese man arrested

MUAR: Police have arrested a 25-year-old Nepalese man to assist in investigations following the kidnapping of a baby from her home in Kampung Parit Lanjut, Mukim Sungai Terap, here.
It was reported that the man was arrested by policemen from the Johor Criminal Investigation Department at a house in Kampung Bukit Treh, near here.
Police also seized a mobile phone that is believed to have been taken from the same house.
Muar district police chief ACP Zaharudin Rasip said the suspect's arrest then led to the discovery and rescue of the 17-month-old baby girl.
Police found her in some bushes about 1km away from where she was taken at about 3.45pm today.
The baby was taken to the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital for a check-up.
Investigations are still ongoing and the case is being investigated under Section 363 of the Penal Code for kidnapping.
It was reported earlier that the baby, Nur Aisyah Hasmizan, was found missing by her mother Siti Noorfadilah Yusofe, 30, at about 5am when she was preparing "sahur".
The incident went viral on social media.
