SPOON Cafe at G Hotel redefines the casual dining experience with its class above others unique interiors, designer cutlery, crockery, ambiance and good food.
For the month of Ramadan, Spoon Cafe offers a buffet spread at a price which is hard to resist.
This Ramadan, prepare to be greeted by service staff donning traditional Malay attire, wearing friendly smiles, as you satiate your sense of taste.
According to Christina Tan, the Director of Communications, Spoon is reminiscent of a French Bistro perched atop a mountain.
With over a hundred varieties of dishes, buffet counters span across a massive dining area, extending to an outdoor alfresco area where more stalls add options to appease your appetite. G Hotel's team of culinary experts have meticulously taken time and effort to prepare this carefully selected menu using special ingredients that are notably fresh and of good quality.
For Muslims who are breaking fast, do not miss out on the fine selection of dates placed at the Pickle and Dry Fruit section alongside the salads, pickles, cheese and desserts. Specialties from the local Pasar Ramadan can also be found here like Bubur Lambuk, Sup Tulang Berempah and a heavenly selection of kuih, Malay Salad or Ulam and Satay.
Among the many must-have dishes are the Siakap Fish with Three Flavours, Lamb Varuval and Chilli Crab which go well with Nasi Hujan Panas - a coloured rice cooked with star anise, cardamom, clove, cinnamon and pandan leaves.
If you fancy Nasi Kandar (the best is said to come from Penang), usual favourites like Fish Head Curry, Beef Rendang, Lamb Kurma, Fried Fish and Fried Chicken are available, each readily tempting the palate.
At the carving station, sink your teeth into slices of the Grilled Leg of Lamb, served with Black Pepper Sauce. This is one of the many specialties, having been marinated overnight with local herbs and spices, for a flavoursome feast.
Options are aplenty as food kiosks offer local hawker fare such as Char Koay Teow, Nyonya Curry Mee, Chicken Rice, Ice Kacang and Chendol, Muar Chi, Noodles in Soup, Banana Fritters, Ham Chim Peng, plus a grilled seafood counter offers a variety of seafood such as marinated stingray, fish, prawn, squid, clam and more.
Dining at SPOON is spectacular as you get to watch the chefs prepare your food right before your eyes.
Tuck into dinner but save space for dessert especially with the chocolate fountain and its variety of fruit available. Kids will surely love this! Moreover, there's the Black Rice Cheese Cake and Coconut Mousse with Gula Melaka which are highly rated, similarly the Fruit Flan and Coconut Tart.
For something lighter, there's the smooth and silky soybean pudding, better known as Tau Fu Fah, presented in quaint and large kettles at the drinks counter.
All the above and more are waiting to tickle your tastebuds and satiate your appetite at SPOON Cafe's Ramadan Buffet Dinner at just RM75 nett until 14 June. Prices hike on Hari Raya itself, public holidays which fall on June 15 and 16 June, going at RM105 nett per person.
