PerakFM ceases two radio programmes

IPOH: PerakFM has ceased broadcasting two of its programmes, "Deme Tanya Pak Ngah Jawab" and "Apa Kata Deme", following the state government transition.
Perak Broadcasting Department director Sabri Mansor said here today that the programmes which had been around for more than 10 years would be replaced with new and fresh contents.
"Prior to this, the 'Apa Kata Deme' slot was produced by the Special Affairs Department (Jasa), while 'Deme Tanya Pak Ngah Jawab' saw elected representatives or state executive councillors of the previous government being invited to answer questions from listeners.
"However, we will replace them with new and more appropriate formats. After all, Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo wants RTM to change within six months," he told reporters after the distribution of PerakFM Bubur Lambuk programme at Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Broadcasting Complex.
